About Northern Timberworks
Hi, I'm Paul, the owner of Northern Timberworks.
Northern Timberworks was built on one simple belief:
Things should be made to last.
In a world where so much is built to be replaced, I believe it should be built to be remembered.
Years ago, furniture wasn't treated as something temporary. It was built with care, solid materials, and craftsmanship. People bought a dining table once. They passed it down to their children, and then to their grandchildren. It became part of the family's story.
Today, too much furniture is built to be replaced instead of repaired. It's designed to last a few years before ending up at the curb.
I wanted to help bring that quality back.
That's why I started Northern Timberworks.
Every piece I build is handcrafted with one goal in mind: to create something that will stand the test of time. Whether it's an Adirondack chair, a log picnic table, a custom dining table, or an outdoor living project, I build it the way I believe things should still be built: strong, honest, and made with pride.
Much of the wood I use comes from my own property, where I mill birch, cedar, maple, and other local species using my own sawmill. When a project calls for other woods, such as walnut, white oak, or specialty hardwoods, I carefully source them from trusted suppliers who share my commitment to quality.
No matter where the wood comes from, I believe every project starts with exceptional materials. That's why I'm selective about every board that goes into my work, ensuring it meets the same standard of craftsmanship and durability that I would expect from my own lumber.
Success isn't measured by how often customers have to replace my furniture. It's measured by how long they're still enjoying it.
I want to build furniture that lasts longer than I do.
Pieces that become part of family gatherings, summer evenings around a fire, holiday dinners, and everyday life. Pieces that are passed down from one generation to the next because they're still as strong and beautiful as the day they were built.
That's the standard I hold myself to with every project.
Because I believe quality isn't measured by how quickly something can be made.
It's measured by how long it's remembered.
Thank you for taking the time to visit Northern Timberworks. I look forward to building something that you, your children, and your grandchildren can enjoy for generations to come.
Built by Hand. Built to Last.
